We require a superior safety record and closely examine each applicant’s experience and qualifications.

AGE: Minimum age = 23 years old.


• 24 months of recent, verifiable, over-the-road experience with a semi tractor.
• 12 months of recent, verifiable flatbed, stepdeck, or lowboy trailer experience.
• Oversize load experience is preferred. We examine recent, verifiable oversize load experience prior to qualifying new drivers to pull over-dimensional loads and specialized trailers. Our Safety Department qualifies each applicant for specialized trailers and specific oversize load dimensions based on their proven background and recent, verifiable experience.


• CDL issued by your home state.
• Triples Endorsement and LCV certification are required to pull multi-axle trailer combinations.

PHYSICAL: ContractorsWe can accept your current physical if the examination date is within 1 year of lease on. Company drivers are required to get a new DOT physical at our company doctor in Carlisle.

SAFETY RECORD: As a *general guideline* we can accept no more than 3 “strikes” in the past 3 years (see below.) A “strike” is a moving violation, non-moving violation, or preventable accident/incident. All accidents are included, DOT reportable and NON-DOT reportable regardless of whether the accident shows on your MVR or not. Serious moving violations such as excessive speeds count as 2 “strikes”. Non-moving violations count as ˝ “strike.”

• No more than 3 moving violations during the 36 month period prior to the date of lease- or
• No more than 2 preventable “at-fault” accidents and more than 1 moving violation during the 36 month period prior to the date of lease- or
• No more than 2 moving violations and 1 preventable “at-fault” accident during the 36 month period prior to the date of lease.

• No drug or alcohol convictions within the previous 5 years.
• No record of license suspension for moving violations or similar infractions for more than 30 days during the 36 month period prior to the date of hire.
• No record of citation or conviction for the violations listed below during the 36 month period prior to the date of hire.
1. Driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
2. Refusal to take a test required by an implied consent or similar law.
3. Violation of an "open container" law or similar statute.
4. Reckless homicide or involuntary manslaughter.
5. Leaving the scene of an accident or "hit and run."
6. Speed exhibition, contact or drag racing.
7. Operating while under suspension or revocation.
8. Use of motor vehicle in the commission of a felony.
9. Assault with a motor vehicle.
10. Reckless driving or careless endangerment.
11. Operating a motor vehicle without the permission of the owner.
12. Fleeing or eluding a police officer.
